We’ll be unveiling an exciting new interactive blog next week featuring videos, photos and stories submitted by the public…but we need your help! If you have any movies or photos or stories dealing specifically with recreation or entertainment in the Reno/Tahoe area, go to the blog and submit them. That way we’ll have interesting content on the site when it goes public; also, we’ll be able to test everything and make sure the process works.
The blog is at videos.renotahoevisitor.com and we’d appreciate any comments about how the site looks/works/feels, also if you notice any problems let me know (if you see something appear momentarily that looks weird I’m still working on some bugs). Feel free to comment on the stuff that’s already up too.

Sounds fairly pertinent given some of the discussions we’ve had with clients lately. Click on link for Business Week article.

I have always been fascinated with the advertising industry of late-50s and early-60s New York, and a new show scheduled to premiere this fall on AMC will recreate that time period in all its smoke-filled, skinny-tied glory. The creation of “Sopranos” executive producer-writer Matthew Weiner, “Mad Men” is set in a fictional New York ad agency circa 1960, and it looks like must-see viewing for those of us who worship at the alter of Bernbach. Here is a link to the SF Chronicle’s review (by Tim Goodman, probably the single most entertaining TV reviewer I’ve ever read) and to the “Mad Men” mini site.
