Apparently the announcement that Ink Barbie is hitting the shelves came out last month, but since I’m not dialed into the world of Barbie, I just found out. I have to say, my first reaction was a bit puritanical. I was appalled that we’re teaching little girls that tramp stamps are cool. I thought to myself … “A well-done, decorative sleeve would be a different story, but aren’t tramp stamps played out? It’s like the female version of the tribal arm band. I mean, Barbie is usually a trendsetter and moral compass for our youth, right? How can this be?” Then I snapped out of it and started wondering how we could advertise on these things. Come on, that’s prime real estate.
