		<description>Eh, the bennies notwithstanding, Kerouac&#039;s writing never worked as a signifier of Nevada for me.  Although, my &quot;Nevada&quot; is David Thomson&#039;s.  Maybe Kerouac&#039;s writing perfectly describes Ben Siegel&#039;s &quot;Nevada&quot;.

Anyway... If all this mess is &quot;the new black&quot;, I might die from the resulting hilarity.  Radiohead&#039;s been goading consumer culture for at least 13 years.  And I guess it&#039;s a damn shame the soundtrack for this hipster holy-land was written by Modest Mouse.</description>
